Matthew Elgart is performing at Cal State LA this Friday evening, and Joseph Gold with Jaume Torrent offer an unusual opportunity to hear a violin/guitar recital at Occidental on Saturday. Then on Sunday evening USC's Brian Head will display his outstanding talent in a faculty concert, playing a variety of old and new music (including his own) together with several colleagues. Also a heads-up for a notable event the following Tuesday, namely Roland Dyens' appearance at Trilogy Guitars in Playa del Rey - Dyens has long been a major composer for classical guitar as well as an absolutely stellar performer.
