Two more guitar ensemble recitals this week - Peter Yates' Cal Poly group performs in Pomona on Friday, and the Youth Guitar Orchestra in South Pasadena on Saturday. Also on Saturday, Angel Romero appears as a guest performer with the Asia America Symphony Orchestra in Los Angeles. Then on Sunday afternoon the Spanish virtuoso Jose Maria Gallardo del Rey performs with the San Luis Obispo Orchestra at Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA. Gallardo del Rey will appear again the following Tuesday, leading his chamber/flamenco group "Maestranza" at the Barnsdall Gallery Theater in Hollywood (Gallardo del Rey and Maestranza are both reputed to be quite extraordinary).
