This is the week for Spring concerts by our local guitar ensembles. John Schneiderman will direct the combined Irvine Valley College, Orange Coast College and UC Irvine groups on Thursday at noon at UCI (free), then again on Friday evening at IVC and Saturday evening at OCC. Also on Friday evening we have Kate Lewis' LAVC ensemble playing in Valley Glen, and David Grimes' CSUF ensemble performing in Fullerton. Then to top off the week's events, Isamu Nakashio offers a free recital in Yorba Linda at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace on Sunday afternoon.
